Cisco Egypt Director: CAISEC Addresses Future Cybersecurity Challenges and Supports Egypt’s Position as a Regional Cybersecurity Hub
The Director of Cisco Egypt said the CAISEC cybersecurity summit has become a strategic platform for discussing the future of cybersecurity and emerging digital threats, while contributing to efforts aimed at positioning Egypt as a regional hub for cybersecurity and digital resilience.
Speaking on the sidelines of CAISEC, the Cisco Egypt executive emphasized that the rapid acceleration of digital transformation, artificial intelligence adoption, and cloud technologies has significantly increased the complexity of cyber risks facing governments, enterprises, and critical infrastructure sectors worldwide.
He noted that cybersecurity is no longer limited to protecting networks and systems, but has evolved into a core pillar supporting economic stability, digital trust, operational continuity, and national security.
According to Cisco Egypt, forums such as CAISEC play an important role in strengthening collaboration between technology companies, regulators, policymakers, and cybersecurity experts to exchange knowledge and develop more advanced defense strategies capable of responding to future digital threats.
The executive added that Egypt possesses strong potential to become a leading regional cybersecurity hub due to its strategic geographic position, expanding digital infrastructure, growing technology sector, and increasing investments in data centers, cloud computing, and AI technologies.
He also highlighted the importance of building cybersecurity talent and investing in digital skills development to support the region’s growing demand for cybersecurity professionals and advanced security operations capabilities.
The discussions at CAISEC this year focus heavily on AI-powered cyber threats, deepfake technologies, cloud security, digital sovereignty, critical infrastructure protection, and the governance challenges associated with next-generation autonomous AI systems.
Cisco is participating in the summit alongside major global cybersecurity and technology companies showcasing advanced solutions in threat detection, network security, cloud protection, AI-powered analytics, and zero-trust security frameworks.
Industry experts attending the event stressed that the increasing sophistication of cyberattacks requires organizations to adopt proactive and integrated cybersecurity strategies that combine advanced technologies, real-time monitoring, automation, and cross-sector cooperation.
CAISEC has evolved into one of the largest cybersecurity and digital sovereignty events in Africa and the Middle East, bringing together international cybersecurity agencies, government representatives, technology leaders, ethical hackers, and industry specialists to discuss the future of digital security in an increasingly interconnected world.
