 Zain KSA has officially launched its Artificial Intelligence (AI) Center of Excellence, a strategic initiative designed to integrate advanced AI technologies across its entire operational ecosystem. The move is engineered to elevate the company's capabilities in delivering high-tier digital services to individual consumers and enterprise clients within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Aligning with national digital directives The deployment of the center falls in line with Zain KSA's transition toward an AI-first operational model. The launch directly coincides with Saudi Arabia's formal declaration of 2026 as the "Year of AI," reflecting an accelerated wave of digital transformation sweeping across both public and private sectors. Architecturally, the AI Center of Excellence operates under the umbrella of Zain Group’s broader corporate blueprint, "4WARD – Progress with Purpose." By leveraging shared corporate platforms, multinational tech alliances, and the group's aggregate knowledge base, the center aims to fast-track the deployment of practical AI applications and maximize infrastructure efficiencies while maintaining absolute compliance with domestic regulatory frameworks.

Operationally, the entity will systematically anchor AI tools across Zain KSA’s business units to boost production yields, optimize customer journeys, and drive data-backed decision-making within customer care, commercial administration, and network operations.

Maha Al-Qernas, Executive Vice President of Information Technology and Head of the AI Center of Excellence, stated that the establishment of the center provides a robust corporate foundation to transition from experimental pilot phases to disciplined, large-scale implementation. She noted that the center functions through three core pillars: embedding AI natively within Zain KSA's internal processes, developing scalable digital solutions for government and commercial entities, and operating as a primary clearinghouse connecting global technology providers with localized platforms. This execution is bound by a dedicated governance matrix that guarantees ethical and responsible AI utilization, strictly aligned with the National Strategy for Data and AI and local telecom statutes.
