The international company ”Concentrix” expands its investments in Egypt and aims to create 11,000 new job opportunities

As part of the efforts of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to enhance investments and develop the outsourcing industry in Egypt, Concentrix Egypt, specialized in the field of providing outsourcing services and call centers, intends to expand its investments in Egypt in 5 new governorates and increase the number of employees by about 11,000 employees within two years, to reach 35,000 employees by the end of 2028.

Eng. Rafat Hindi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, discussed with Mr. Amr Sobhi, President of Concentrix Egypt, the company's efforts in implementing its plan to expand in the Egyptian market and create new job opportunities in its centers, and enhance cooperation in the fields of building digital capacity.

In the presence of Eng. Ahmed Al-Zaher, CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Authority (ITIDA), Eng. Mahmoud Safrata, Executive Vice President of ITIDA for the Development of Information Technology Markets, and Ms. Alia Ismail, Director of New Applications at Consenterx Egypt.

The international company "Concentrix" signed a memorandum of understanding with the Information Technology Industry Development Authority (ITIDA) in January 2025 with the aim of expanding the company's operations in Egypt by investing in the Egyptian market, about $1 billion, contributing to the creation of 16,000 new job opportunities by the end of 2028.

In this context, Engineer Rafat Hindi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, said that Concentrex's continued implementation of its expansion plans and increasing its investments in the Egyptian market and the company's rapid growth rates, whether in the number of employees or geographical expansion in various governorates, reflects the attractiveness of the Egyptian business environment and the increasing interest of international companies in investing in Egypt as a global center for outsourcing services and the export of digital services.

He pointed out that the Egyptian market is witnessing an increasing expansion by many international companies working in the field of outsourcing in light of the advanced digital infrastructure provided by the country, and an attractive business environment, in addition to the availability of young competencies qualified to provide services to corporate customers in various markets around the world.

Eng. Rafat Hindi also explained the interest of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in expanding specialized training programs to qualify young people for the global labor market, and linking training outputs to the needs of companies, which contributes to motivating companies to expand their business volume in the Egyptian ICT sector, providing distinguished job opportunities for young people, and increasing Egypt's digital exports.

For his part, Mr. Amr Sobhi, President of Consentrex Egypt, explained the company's expansion plans in Egypt, pointing out the increase in the number of its employees in Egypt from about 150 employees when it started its activity in 2009 to about 24,000 employees currently, making Egypt the company's third largest operating center globally among the 72 countries in which the company operates after India and the Philippines, and the largest in the region. The company also aims to increase the number of its employees to 28,000 employees by the end of this year, and then to 31,000 employees during the next year, up to 35,000 employees within two years, in light of achieving an annual growth rate of about 20%; Explaining the spread of the company's centers in Egypt, which currently includes 13 centers in a number of governorates, with plans to add 5 new centers within two years, including expansion in the Delta and Upper Egypt governorates.

The meeting witnessed a discussion of the company's trends in employing artificial intelligence technologies in operations management and customer services, and its cooperation with universities and technological areas to qualify young cadres and link training to the requirements of the labor market. In addition to discussing opportunities for cooperation in the expansion of “training for employment” programs to qualify young people for work in the fields of outsourcing services, technical specialties and foreign languages, especially German, French and Spanish.
