Cairo, Egypt – Carrefour announced extended operating hours across a number of its branches during the Eid Al-Adha holiday, with several stores set to remain open until 2:00 AM to accommodate increased shopping demand during the festive season.
The retailer said the decision comes as part of efforts to provide customers with greater flexibility and easier access to shopping services amid the high turnout typically witnessed during Eid holidays.
According to Carrefour Egypt, operating hours will vary depending on branch location, with major hypermarkets and mall-based outlets extending late-night operations throughout the holiday period.
The move coincides with the launch of extensive Eid promotional campaigns and special offers across food products, household goods, electronics, and consumer essentials, as retailers compete to attract shoppers ahead of and during Eid celebrations.
Industry observers said extended operating hours have become increasingly common among major retail chains during festive seasons in Egypt, particularly with growing consumer demand for flexible shopping schedules and late-night retail activity.
