Two ITI Graduates Secure First Place in 2026 Mahally Award at TDS EXPO
Two graduates of the Furniture Design and Visualization track at the Information Technology Institute (ITI) Digital Arts and Design Academy have secured first place in Round 9 of Mahally Award, held as part of The Design Show (TDS EXPO) 2026.
Mahally Award is a freestyle design competition dedicated to professionals and talented designers, encouraging them to create new local furniture and present innovative, actionable ideas in collaboration with leading brands and companies in the furniture and design industry. It aims to spotlight unique and contemporary local designs while connecting designers with top-tier local manufacturers and producers.
During TDS EXPO, the two winners showcased their outstanding project: an office furniture collection. The design was inspired by the concept of line art, which relies on a single continuous line to define shape, movement, and interconnectedness in a simple and modern style.
The two winners received a cash prize of EGP 50,000. Other prizes included EGP 30,000 for second place and EGP 20,000 for third place.
This milestone reflects the excellence of ITI’s learners and graduates across various design competitions and exhibitions. It underscores their continuous ability to compete at the highest level and deliver powerful, distinctive concepts in the real world.
It is worth highlighting that ITI Digital Arts and Design Academy delivers an integrated hands-on learning experience that equips designers with the skills needed to build strong professional careers across various fields, including furniture design, architectural design and visualization, and interior design and visualization.
