Marwa Abdel Meguid: Building a Strong Professional Personality Is Key to Success in Today’s Job Market
During her participation in the “Momken” platform activities, Marwa Abdel Meguid, Chief Corporate Communications, Media and CSR Officer at Orange Egypt, highlighted the importance of empowering Egyptian women and preparing youth for the labor market, stressing that continuous self-development and building a strong professional personality have become essential factors for success in today’s rapidly evolving workplace.
Abdel Meguid took part in a panel discussion titled “Breaking Barriers,” where she shared insights into the role of the private sector in empowering women and supporting young talents amid the fast-changing dynamics of the labor market and technology sector.
She emphasized that major companies no longer rely solely on academic qualifications or traditional technical skills, but increasingly seek individuals who demonstrate adaptability, continuous learning, teamwork, effective communication, and the ability to navigate future challenges.
Abdel Meguid noted that the role of corporations today extends beyond simply providing job opportunities to actively preparing and empowering youth while bridging the gap between education and real market demands. She stressed that investing in skills development and capacity building has become a core pillar of the private sector’s social responsibility.
She also reviewed several of Orange Egypt’s initiatives aimed at digital empowerment and youth development, particularly the company’s Orange Digital Centers, which offer training programs in technology, entrepreneurship, and digital skills to help young people prepare for the labor market and adapt to digital transformation.
In addition, she highlighted the “Women Digital Centers” initiative, designed to support and empower women across different governorates through specialized training in digital skills, entrepreneurship, and professional development. The initiative aims to strengthen women’s employability and support their economic independence.
According to Abdel Meguid, Orange Egypt currently operates more than 18 Women Digital Centers nationwide as part of the company’s broader commitment to promoting digital inclusion and empowering Egyptian women through technology and knowledge.
She also pointed to additional initiatives focused on enhancing youth and workforce capabilities through practical training programs and digital capacity-building efforts aimed at creating more sustainable economic opportunities for different segments of society.
Abdel Meguid further stressed the importance of creating supportive and inclusive work environments that encourage women to pursue professional opportunities with confidence, describing women’s empowerment as a long-term economic and developmental investment that positively impacts both institutions and society.
She noted the growing cooperation between the Egyptian government and the private sector in supporting women and preparing them for the labor market, particularly in technology and digital skills, in line with Egypt Vision 2030 and the country’s sustainable development priorities.
During the session, Abdel Meguid addressed a message to young women and youth, saying: “Never stop learning and developing yourselves. Always focus on building your personality and skills as much as your professional experience, because success is a journey that requires patience and persistence.”
The “Momken” platform is considered one of Egypt’s leading developmental and dialogue platforms focused on empowering youth and women, while promoting awareness around professional development, entrepreneurship, and future skills through interactive discussions and events featuring executives, experts, and industry leaders.
