17 Technology Companies Showcase Digital Transformation Solutions to Boost Industrial Competitiveness at CIT Forum
Chamber of Information Technology and Communications launched the first edition of its “Towards a Digital Future” forum under the theme “Technology Solutions and Innovation Forum for Digital Transformation in Business and Industrial Sectors,” bringing together decision-makers from nearly 120 factories in 6th of October City alongside 17 technology companies showcasing advanced digital transformation solutions for the industrial sector.
The event forms part of CIT’s broader strategy to support innovation, stimulate local demand for technology solutions, and accelerate the adoption of digital transformation tools across Egyptian industrial institutions to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen local and international competitiveness.
The participating technology companies included Telecom Egypt as Platinum Partner and MTS as Gold Partner, in addition to several Silver Partners including Vulo, Istrotech, DewanSoft, DP Technology, CloudSoft5, Megacom, MOHR, Makkook, Promech, and Reyada.
The forum is part of a series of events organized by CIT during May and June 2026 aimed at strengthening collaboration between Egypt’s technology sector and industrial businesses through practical digital transformation initiatives and networking opportunities.
The event featured live demonstrations and presentations focused on factory digitization, automation of production and administrative operations, smart manufacturing technologies, and digital tools designed to improve operational performance and productivity.
Panel discussions and networking sessions were also held to facilitate direct engagement between industrial companies and Egyptian technology providers.
The initiative is being organized in cooperation with several strategic partners, including Information Technology Industry Development Agency, Federation of Egyptian Industries, 6th of October Investors Association, and Egyptian Lebanese Businessmen Association.
According to organizers, the partnerships aim to ensure stronger alignment between the actual operational needs of Egyptian factories and the latest digital technologies available through local technology companies.
Khaled Ibrahim, Chairman of the Chamber of Information Technology and Communications, said supporting industrial digital transformation represents the future of modern manufacturing.
“We aim to create a smarter and more efficient production environment through the adoption of artificial intelligence, Internet of Things technologies, and data analytics,” Ibrahim said. “These solutions enable industrial institutions to improve product quality and strengthen their competitiveness locally and internationally.”
He added that digitizing local factories would help reduce production costs while improving the global competitiveness of Egyptian products through wider adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies such as AI and cloud computing.
For his part, Wael El Kholy described the forum as a reflection of strategic cooperation between the investors association and CIT to support Egypt’s industrial sector and strengthen communication with providers of advanced digital solutions.
“We believe the sustainability and competitiveness of our factories largely depend on their ability to integrate smart technologies into daily operations,” El Kholy said, adding that the initiative supports Egypt Vision 2030 and broader sustainable development goals.
Meanwhile, Amr Fotouh emphasized the importance of the technology sector in supporting local manufacturing and increasing its contribution to the national economy.
Fotouh also praised the partnership with CIT and called for greater support for Egyptian technology companies and wider adoption of locally developed digital solutions, highlighting the strong capabilities of Egypt’s growing technology talent pool.
