Fixed Solutions Launches Digital Service for Converting Code Electricity Meters into Legal Meters via Egypt’s Unified Electricity Platform

Fixed Solutions announced the launch of a new online service enabling citizens to apply electronically for converting prepaid code electricity meters into officially registered legal meters through Egypt’s Unified Electricity Services Platform, in cooperation with the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company and under the directives of the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy.

The new service is part of ongoing efforts to support Egypt’s digital transformation strategy and Vision 2030 objectives aimed at modernizing public services and improving citizens’ access to government procedures through integrated digital platforms.

Available through the Unified Electricity Services Platform, the service seeks to simplify the application process, reduce congestion at electricity service centers, and provide citizens with a clearer and more organized user experience.

The move comes amid growing public interest in the legalization of code electricity meters, particularly following increased inquiries regarding required documents, application procedures, and official processing steps.

Officials said the platform provides citizens with a fully integrated digital journey that allows users to review required documents based on each case, submit requests electronically, track application status, receive notifications regarding missing information, and review official fees and procedural updates.

The dedicated service for converting code meters into legal meters is accessible directly through: https://eservices.eehc.gov.eg/services/CMTL

According to the platform, the required documents include a valid national ID card, a certified sale or rental contract, proof of reconciliation for building violations, evidence of the latest meter recharge transaction, and legal authorization documents where applicable.

The platform also provides users with a step-by-step guide covering the entire process, beginning with selecting the service and uploading documents, followed by technical inspection procedures and final contract signing.

The digital application process includes:

Logging into the platform and selecting the code meter conversion service

Choosing the registered meter to be converted

Uploading required documents

Following application review notifications and completing missing requirements

Completing technical inspection procedures

Receiving final notification to complete contract signing and subscriber registration

The company stated that the service is designed to help citizens easily access accurate information while reducing dependence on unofficial guidance and minimizing the need for multiple in-person visits.

Ahmed Abdel Hamid, Project Manager overseeing the Unified Electricity Platform at Fixed Solutions, said the company continues to develop digital services aimed at improving citizen experience and simplifying government procedures.

“We are continuously working to enhance digital services that simplify procedures and provide citizens with a clearer and more organized experience,” Abdel Hamid said. “Launching the online service for converting code electricity meters into legal meters supports the state’s digital transformation efforts and Egypt Vision 2030 by delivering smart services that allow citizens to complete procedures easily, transparently, and from anywhere.”

He added that the unified platform was developed in response to increasing public inquiries surrounding the conversion process and aims to provide citizens with an official and centralized source for procedures, application trac٦king, and customer support throughout the process.

Fixed Solutions confirmed that the service forms part of a broader plan to expand digital government services and improve user experience in line with Egypt’s efforts to build an integrated smart services ecosystem.
