The conclusion of the activities of the diplomatic football tournament 2026 at Al Jazeera Club under the auspices of WE
The activities of the eighth edition of the 2026 Diplomatic Football Championship, which was hosted by Al Jazeera Sports Club from 1 to 16 May, under the auspices of the Telecom Egypt Company WE, concluded, amid a wide participation of embassies and diplomatic missions, along with an elite of Egyptian football stars and a number of international and diplomatic figures.
The tournament witnessed the presence of a number of Egyptian football legends, including Hazem Imam, Essam Al-Hadri, Hossam Ghali, Ahmed Hassan, Mohamed Zeidan, and Mohamed Fadl, which gave the event a distinctive sporting character that reflects its growing position in the sports and diplomatic arena. On the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the tournament, a special artistic evening was held by the international musician Omar Khairat and his band, to give the event a special festive atmosphere.
The final match brought together the France team, the holder of the title of the previous edition, and the team of the Embassy of the United States of America, where the meeting ended with the victory of the American team with a goal without reply, to be crowned with the title after a strong match that embodied the spirit of sportsmanship and rapprochement between peoples through football.
