Trojan Holding and Orascom Construction Form Joint Venture ”Everwater” to Execute Regional Water Infrastructure Projects

Orascom Construction PLC and Trojan Holding have signed a definitive joint venture agreement to incorporate Everwater Treatment Systems, an Abu Dhabi-based infrastructure vehicle designed to capture high-yield water-treatment assets across the Middle East.

The corporate alignment creates a vertically integrated infrastructure platform combining Trojan’s extensive Gulf-state liquidity and localization pipelines with Orascom’s heavy engineering footprint. Everwater will operate an unhedged turnkey business model, bidding directly for large-scale engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) tenders and securing multi-year operational revenues via built-in operation and maintenance (O&M) asset clauses.

Joint Venture Assets & Baseline Metrics: May 2026

The Entity: Everwater Treatment Systems (Abu Dhabi Corporate Headquarters).

The Backers: Trojan Holding & Orascom Construction PLC (Dual-listed ADX: ORAS / EGX: ORAS).

Orascom Aggregate Footprint: Cumulative regional water assets processing over 17 million cubic meters daily across MENA.

Immediate Pipeline: Advanced procurement phase for a standalone 300,000 cubic meters/day seawater desalination plant.

The transaction, ratified at the Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit by Orascom Construction Managing Director Eng. Ihab Mehawed and Trojan Deputy Group CEO Eng. Mohamed Mahmoud, directly responds to sovereign climate-adaptation budgets inside the GCC and North Africa.

Financial analysts highlight that by pooling institutional balance sheet strength into Everwater, both parent companies mitigate individual project bonding risks while positioning the JV to lock down complex, multi-billion-dollar utility concessions, capitalizing on rising state demands for sustainable, industrial-grade non-fiat water assets.
