Fawry’s Banking Services Revenue Climbs 29.8% to EGP 924.1 Million in Q1 2026
Fawry for Banking Technology and Electronic Payments announced that its banking services sector generated revenues of EGP 924.1 million during the first quarter of 2026, marking a 29.8% annual growth compared to the EGP 712.2 million recorded in Q1 2025. The performance was driven by solid expansion in both agent banking and acceptance operations.
According to the company's disclosure, the banking services sector accounted for 38.3% of Fawry's total quarterly revenue, consolidating its position as a primary growth driver. The total throughput value handled by the banking services segment expanded by 36.7% year-on-year to reach EGP 170.3 billion during the first quarter of 2026.
Within the segment, agent banking revenues increased by 32.7% annually to reach EGP 437.1 million in Q1 2026. The total throughput value for agent banking activities surged by 44.6% year-on-year to record EGP 90 billion.
Concurrently, Fawry’s acceptance network revenues advanced by 27.2% to EGP 487 million in Q1 2026, up from EGP 382.8 million in the prior-year period. The total throughput value for accepted payments across the network rose by 28.7% to EGP 80.3 billion, compared to EGP 62.4 billion in the first quarter of 2025.
