Egypt’s Food Exports to Saudi Arabia Surge 15.3% in 2025, Reaching $563.8 Million

Egypt’s food processing industry is witnessing a robust expansion in the Gulf, with exports to Saudi Arabia hitting $563.8 million in 2025, up from $489.1 million in 2024. According to the Egyptian Food Export Council, this 15.3% year-on-year growth underscores the strategic importance of the Saudi market. May Khairy, Executive Director of the Council, noted that this momentum has carried into 2026, with Q1 exports already totaling $150.2 million, reflecting sustained demand and high consumer confidence in Egyptian products.

The surge is attributed to seamless coordination between the Export Council, the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA), and the Egyptian Commercial Office in Riyadh. This collaborative framework has ensured that Egyptian exports meet the rigorous quality and safety standards of the Saudi market. Khairy emphasized that the Council is actively exploring new niches within the Kingdom to further diversify the export basket, capitalizing on the geographical proximity and the strong cultural affinity for Egyptian food brands.
