Huawei and EiTESAL Ink Strategic Pact to Launch ICT Academy, Scaling Egypt’s Digital Talent for 2026

In a significant move to bridge the technical skills gap in North Africa, EiTESAL (the Egyptian Information, Telecommunications, Electronics, and Software Alliance) and Huawei Egypt have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a specialized ICT training academy. Under the umbrella of EiTESAL’s "TechConnect" initiative, the academy aims to certify 600 trainees in its inaugural year, focusing on high-demand disciplines such as AI, Cloud Computing, and 5G.

As the primary Technology Partner, Huawei will deploy its advanced virtual labs and proprietary educational materials, while fully subsidizing the certification of specialized instructors. EiTESAL will act as the Executive Partner, leveraging its deep local network to manage program operations and quality control. William Zheng, Director of Business Environment at Huawei Egypt, highlighted that this partnership is a "strategic milestone" designed to transform Egypt into a leading regional hub for digital innovation, aligning perfectly with the nation’s 2030 digital vision.
