Egypt’s MCIT Opens 2026 Summer Tech Grants for K-12 Students: Building the Next Generation of Digital Leaders

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has officially opened registration for the 2026 summer installments of the "Digital Buds" (Demi) and "Digital Cubs" (Deci) initiatives. Running until May 24, the program targets students from Grade 4 to Grade 11 across all Egyptian governorates. These initiatives are a cornerstone of Egypt's "Digital Generations" strategy, aimed at cultivating advanced technological and life skills in the youth to drive the nation’s digital economy.

The 2026 summer program offers an integrated hybrid learning model, combining interactive virtual sessions, self-paced learning, and hands-on workshops at physical training centers. Since their inception in 2022, these initiatives have empowered approximately 240,000 students, reflecting Egypt’s commitment to investing in human capital. By the end of the program, students are expected to deliver applied projects, showcasing their proficiency in future-facing technologies and their readiness for the global digital market.
