Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) Students Sweep Top Awards in Singapore, Canada, and Egypt Tech Competitions
Students from the Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) have achieved a remarkable hat-trick of victories at prestigious international competitions held recently in Singapore, Canada, and Egypt. These achievements underscore the high caliber of Egyptian tech talent and the success of EUI’s global academic partnerships.
Singapore: Mohamed Alaa, a senior Engineering student in the dual-degree program with Purdue University, secured 1st Place at a competition held alongside the AAAI 2026 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence.
Canada: Zeina Mohamed, a Business Technology student, clinched 2nd Place in the BTCC competition organized by the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa, competing against 15 teams from top-tier Canadian universities.
Egypt: Saif Hegazy, a senior Computer Science student specialized in AI, won 3rd Place at the Capgemini Hackathon during the AI Everything MEA Egypt event for his innovative AI travel companion project, "TuT."
Prof. Ahmed Hamad, Acting President of EUI, stated that these wins reflect the university's commitment to fostering a world-class academic environment.
