InsurTech Unicorn: Corgi Hits $1.3B Valuation Following $160M Series B Led by TCV
Corgi, the AI-driven commercial insurance startup, has officially reached "Unicorn" status with a market valuation of $1.3 billion. This milestone follows a successful $160 million Series B funding round led by global investment firm TCV, with participation from Kindred Ventures, Leblon Capital, and First Order Fund. The funding comes just four months after a $108 million Series A, bringing Corgi’s total capital raised to approximately $268 million since its inception in 2024.
Founded by Nico Laqua and Emily Yuan and incubated at Y Combinator, Corgi has disrupted the traditional commercial insurance landscape by offering tailored digital coverage for high-growth tech firms. Its client roster already includes industry leaders like Deel and Artisan. The new capital will be used to scale Corgi’s integrated tech platform, accelerate underwriting processes, and expand its insurance lines to cover emerging risks associated with global AI deployment and cybersecurity.
