Egypt Launches Digital “Work Registration Certificate” Service via Digital Egypt Platform
Egypt’s Ministers of Communications and Information Technology and Labor have announced the launch of the digital “Work Registration Certificate” service (“Kaab El Amal”) via the Digital Egypt platform, marking a significant step forward in the country’s digital transformation agenda.
The new service allows citizens to obtain their work registration certificate—required for job applications—fully online without the need to visit labor offices. It is offered free of charge and is designed to streamline access to essential government services.
Officials stated that the service enables users to submit applications at any time, with requests processed electronically and responses issued within 24 hours. Approved certificates can be downloaded, printed, or sent directly via email to employers, supporting the concept of a “digital vault” for citizens’ official documents.
The initiative aims to enhance efficiency, transparency, and data governance while reducing administrative burdens and reliance on manual processes. It also contributes to improving decision-making through access to verified and up-to-date data.
The launch comes as part of broader efforts to digitize government services, with the Digital Egypt platform currently offering more than 220 services and plans to add around 50 additional services by the end of 2026.
Officials highlighted that the service will help reduce congestion at labor offices, lower costs for both citizens and the government, and improve overall service quality.
The ministries also confirmed ongoing collaboration to digitize a total of 13 labor-related services by the end of 2026, alongside the development of new digital applications to further enhance service delivery.
