EgyptAir Unveils Retro Livery Project to Celebrate Its Historic Legacy
In celebration of its founding anniversary on May 7, EgyptAir Holding Company Chairman and CEO, Captain Ahmed Adel, met with the team behind the implementation of a heritage revival project featuring a retro livery design on one of the airline’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The project showcases EgyptAir’s historic red and gold logo used during the 1980s, reflecting the airline’s pride in its rich legacy and deep-rooted identity as one of the oldest carriers in the region.
Captain Ahmed Adel praised the team for their exceptional efforts in completing the project within a tight timeframe, highlighting their strong sense of dedication, professionalism, and pride in belonging to a long-standing national institution.
He noted that the retro livery initiative goes beyond simply reviving a historic logo, describing it as a tribute to more than 94 years of aviation excellence, during which EgyptAir established itself as the first airline in Egypt, Africa, and the Middle East, and one of the world’s pioneering carriers.
The initiative also underscores the company’s commitment to preserving its institutional heritage while inspiring future generations by reinforcing a strong connection to its historical milestones.
Launched under the slogan “EgyptAir… Our History, Our Pride,” the project represents a symbolic reflection of national identity and a legacy that continues to shape the airline’s future trajectory.
