inDrive Launches Audio Trip Recording Feature to Bolster Passenger and Driver Safety in Egypt
Global mobility platform inDrive has announced the launch of a new Audio Trip Recording feature, a strategic move aimed at enhancing transparency and safety within its ride-hailing services. This tool allows both passengers and drivers to manually activate audio recording before or during a trip if they feel the need to document an interaction, providing a vital resource for reporting incidents while maintaining strict privacy standards.
Alaa Shalaby, Manager of inDrive Egypt, stated that the feature reflects the company’s commitment to utilizing innovative technology to build trust. "Safety is our top priority," Shalaby noted, emphasizing that the tool empowers users with more control over their journey. This update complements inDrive’s existing safety suite, which includes AI-powered identity verification, real-time trip sharing with up to five trusted contacts, and secure in-app communication that protects personal phone numbers.
