Passap Group: Battery Swapping Stations to Drive Egypt’s Electric Vehicle Revolution
The Egyptian automotive market is on the verge of a major infrastructure shift. Eng. Sherif Al Sayyad, Chairman of Passap Group, confirmed that the coming period will see a significant expansion in fast-charging services and battery-swapping stations for electric vehicles (EVs). The "Battery-as-a-Service" model—allowing users to swap a depleted battery for a fully charged one in minutes—is expected to eliminate "range anxiety" and streamline the transition to sustainable transport.
Al Sayyad revealed that Passap Group is currently exploring strategic partnerships with specialized firms to roll out these services across various governorates. He emphasized that the rapid evolution of charging and battery technology will act as a primary catalyst for EV adoption in Egypt, positioning the country as a burgeoning hub for electric mobility in the region.
