CIT Launches Series of Industry-Focused Events to Showcase Digital Transformation Solutions for Egypt’s Manufacturing Sector
The Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications (CIT), the digital industry advocate in Egypt, has announced the launch of a series of specialized events during May and June 2026 aimed at showcasing the latest digital transformation solutions and their applications across the industrial sector.
The initiative comes as part of CIT’s ongoing efforts to support technology companies and strengthen collaboration between the ICT sector and key production and business sectors. The events are designed to open new business opportunities, stimulate local demand, and present a range of traditional and innovative technology solutions tailored to industrial needs.
The program will bring together CIT member companies and decision-makers from various business sectors, in cooperation with the Federation of Egyptian Industries, industrial chambers, industrial zones, and export councils.
The first event is scheduled to take place on May 19 in the 6th of October industrial zone under the theme “Innovative Technology Solutions Day for Digital Transformation in Industrial Zones.” It will feature company presentations and networking sessions with participating exhibitors.
The event aims to identify the technological needs of industrial and business sectors, support companies in automation processes, and accelerate their digital transformation journeys. It will also focus on reducing operational costs, improving production efficiency, enhancing financial performance analysis, optimizing human resource management, and maximizing asset utilization to drive profitability.
The second event will be held in the second half of June 2026 under the title “Technology Solutions and Innovation Forum for Digital Transformation in Business and Industry.” It will include presentations, workshops, panel discussions, and networking sessions.
Eng. Khaled Ibrahim, Chairman of CIT, emphasized that supporting digital transformation in the industrial sector represents the future of modern manufacturing. He noted that integrating technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and data analytics enables companies to improve product quality, reduce waste, and enhance competitiveness.
He added that digital transformation plays a direct role in driving sustainable industrial development and meeting the rapidly evolving demands of global markets, making it a fundamental pillar for any economy seeking to excel in the digital age.
Ibrahim also highlighted the significant growth opportunities within Egypt’s industrial sector, particularly through increased adoption of advanced technologies and automation. He noted that strengthening local manufacturing and developing high-tech industries can reduce reliance on imports, improve supply chains, and open new avenues for expanding Egyptian exports to African and Arab markets.
