Raya Holding has announced a strategic partnership with TriFactory to support and develop the sport of rowing in Egypt, with a particular focus on indoor rowing, as part of its broader commitment to investing in people, promoting healthy lifestyles, and strengthening communities.

The partnership marks the launch of the “Raya Rows” initiative, a new platform designed to elevate rowing in Egypt and make it more accessible, engaging, and widely adopted. Beyond encouraging community participation, the initiative also aims to support professional athletes through structured programs that enable training, competition, and long-term development.

Through a series of events, competitions, and nationwide partnerships, Raya Holding plans to bring rowing closer to everyday life, while establishing a clear pathway for athlete progression within the sport. The initiative represents the first phase of a broader roadmap that will include larger platforms, major championships, and flagship events in the coming period.

As a leading investment group operating across multiple sectors, Raya Holding continues to expand its impact beyond business by supporting initiatives that promote active and healthy lifestyles. The company views sports as a powerful tool for building discipline, resilience, and long-term personal growth.

“At Raya, we believe that sports shape the values that shape the future,” said Ahmed Khalil, CEO of Raya Holding. He added that supporting rowing and expanding access to the sport is part of the company’s vision to pass these values on to future generations in Egypt.

Khalil noted the initiative holds personal significance for him, having previously been a rower. He highlighted the sport’s role in building discipline, enhancing focus, and developing resilience, expressing his hope that more people can benefit from its impact. He added that rowing engages nearly 85% of the body’s muscles and requires both physical endurance and mental consistency, yet remains underrepresented in Egypt—a gap the initiative seeks to address.

“Rowing is part of our heritage, dating back to ancient Egyptian civilization, and we are proud to contribute to preserving and evolving this legacy,” he said.

For his part, Ayman Hakky, Founder and CEO of TriFactory, said the company is proud of the new partnership, which is expected to have a significant impact on rowing in Egypt. “Over the past decade, TriFactory has expanded its sports events portfolio, and we are excited to collaborate with one of Egypt’s leading companies and officially begin organizing rowing races,” he said.

As part of the partnership, Raya Holding and TriFactory will launch a series of indoor rowing competitions and related events, including a flagship event aimed at establishing rowing as a mainstream sport in Egypt. The initiative will also focus on supporting local athletes and providing them with greater exposure and development opportunities.

By combining Raya Holding’s investment vision with TriFactory’s expertise in event management and sports community building, the partnership aims to create a sustainable platform that promotes participation, raises awareness, and contributes to building a more active and healthier society.

The initiative reflects Raya Holding’s broader strategy to enhance its social impact and reinforces its belief that investing in people is the foundation for achieving sustainable growth.
