Huawei Launches Upgraded Xinghe Intelligent Network in Cairo to Accelerate AI-Driven Connectivity Across Africa

Huawei has unveiled an upgraded version of its Xinghe Intelligent Network during the Huawei Network Summit 2026, which made its global debut in Cairo, Egypt. The launch targets Northern Africa, reinforcing Huawei’s vision of secure intelligent connectivity in the era of AI-driven digital transformation.

Yang Chaobin, Executive Vice President and CEO of Huawei’s ICT Business Group, highlighted the shift toward AI-centric enterprise networks. He noted that networks are evolving beyond ultra-broadband to incorporate advanced capabilities such as lossless computing, integrated sensing and communication, full-scope security, and network autonomy.

Huawei’s regional leadership also emphasized the importance of AI and security in shaping the future of connectivity. Rock Qin, Vice President for Northern Africa, stated that the company is pursuing inclusive strategies across key sectors, including government, education, and finance, to build advanced and secure network ecosystems.

The upgraded Xinghe Intelligent Network introduces a new suite of products and solutions designed to meet the demands of the AI era. According to Richard Wu, Vice President of Huawei’s Data Communication Product Line, the platform is built around three core pillars: green ultra-broadband, enhanced security and resilience, and network autonomy.

Key innovations include a Pre-Wi-Fi 8 solution offering double the industry-average wireless performance, advanced campus security systems, and iFlashboot 2.0, which ensures uninterrupted AI inference services. Additional enhancements such as StarryWing Digital Map 2.0 and Rock-Solid Architecture 2.0 improve data center network resilience, while intelligent security solutions protect wide area networks from emerging threats.

The summit also featured an awards ceremony recognizing long-term partners, including ACUD, ENR, and TMG, for a decade of collaboration in data communication technologies.

Huawei stated it will continue working with partners to drive intelligent transformation and unlock new growth opportunities across African markets through its upgraded networking solutions.
