igniteED 2026 Concludes Third Edition, Empowering 750 Egyptian Students in STEM Innovation

Development and Development Association announced the successful conclusion of the third edition of the igniteED competition, a strategic educational initiative designed to foster innovation, scientific thinking, and practical problem-solving skills through hands-on application in STEM fields.

Held under the patronage of Egypt’s Ministry of Social Solidarity (Egypt) and Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (Egypt), the competition aligns with the association’s broader vision of empowering students and preparing them for the labor market. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic education and future workforce demands by combining competitive learning with practical training and mentorship.

The third edition officially launched in September 2025, with registration opening to participants, followed by an intensive training program that ran through April 2026. The program delivered a total of 1,500 training hours, covering both technical and soft skills essential for participants’ development.

This year’s edition witnessed strong engagement, with 50 schools participating, including STEM schools as well as public, private, and international institutions. A total of 80 teams, comprising 750 students, took part in the competition, representing 18 governorates across Egypt.
