The United Bank Empowers Visually Impaired Students in North Sinai with Advanced Tech Lab
The United Bank has announced a new developmental initiative aimed at supporting and empowering people with visual impairments in North Sinai. In collaboration with the Sa’ed Foundation, the bank has fully equipped an integrated assistive technology lab at the "Al-Noor School for the Blind" in Arish. This move aligns with the bank's strategy to achieve comprehensive sustainable development and foster social inclusion by providing equal educational and professional opportunities for marginalized groups.
The lab features cutting-edge technology designed to facilitate independent learning and prepare students for the labor market. Key equipment includes Braille Displays for digital interaction, Braille Embossers for converting digital content into tactile materials, Video Magnifiers for students with low vision, and Audio Readers. These tools are set to transform the educational experience in Arish, directly contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) regarding Quality Education (Goal 4) and Reduced Inequalities (Goal 10).
