NTI and 6th of October Technological University Ink Strategic Pact to Bridge the Digital Skills Gap

The National Telecommunications Institute (NTI) and 6th of October Technological University have signed a comprehensive cooperation protocol aimed at enhancing practical training and academic supervision for the next generation of Egyptian tech talent. The agreement, signed by Dr. Ahmed Khattab, Director of NTI, and Dr. Heba Farouk Salem, President of 6th of October Technological University, focuses on aligning applied education with the actual requirements of the ICT industry. Under the pact, students will gain access to NTI’s specialized labs and international training academies, facilitating the localization of global expertise.

Dr. Ahmed Khattab emphasized that this collaboration is a cornerstone of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s (MCIT) strategy to build a robust digital workforce. By integrating NTI’s state-of-the-art infrastructure—including advanced fiber optics labs—into the university’s curriculum, the partnership ensures that graduates possess the hands-on experience necessary to drive Egypt’s digital transformation and support a competitive national economy.
