Minister of Communications Inaugurates Valeo AI Development Center in Smart Village
Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Raafat Hindi, inaugurated a new artificial intelligence (AI) development center established by Valeo at the Smart Village, in the presence of Christophe Périllat, CEO of Valeo Group, and Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of ITIDA, alongside senior government and company officials.
The newly launched center will initially employ 35 engineers, with plans to expand to more than 100 specialists in the near future. It aims to accelerate the integration of AI technologies across Valeo’s global operations and support the development of next-generation software solutions.
The facility will focus on delivering advanced AI-powered mobility solutions, including electric vehicles, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and intelligent in-vehicle lighting systems, reinforcing the evolution of smart mobility technologies.
Hindi emphasized that the launch reflects growing confidence among global companies in Egypt’s investment climate, highlighting the country’s rising position as a regional hub for developing and exporting high-value technology solutions. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fostering digital investments and creating high-quality job opportunities for young talent.
