Egypt’s Chemical Export Council Eyes EU Expansion via Strategic B2B Meetings with Romania
In a major push to diversify its export destinations, the Chemical & Fertilizers Export Council (CEC) has successfully concluded a series of high-level B2B meetings between Egyptian manufacturers and Romanian investors. Organized in coordination with the Egyptian Commercial Office in Romania, headed by Minister Plenipotentiary Lamia Fakhry, the meetings focused on leveraging Romania's strategic position as a gateway to the broader European Union market.
Khaled Abu Al-Makarem, Chairman of the CEC, emphasized that expanding into the EU is a top priority for the council. "Romania offers promising opportunities for Egyptian chemical products, and we are working to build sustainable bridges with the European business community," Abu Al-Makarem stated. To capitalize on this momentum, the Council is already planning a dedicated trade mission to Romania in the coming months to finalize export deals and explore joint venture opportunities.
