Record-Breaking Academic Achievement: 109 Egyptian Students Honored at 2025 Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards

In a landmark celebration of academic prowess, Pearson Edexcel and the British Council Egypt hosted the 2025 Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards (OPLAs) at the British Embassy in Cairo. This year’s ceremony marked a significant milestone for Egypt's education sector, with 124 awards presented to 109 exceptional learners from 56 schools nationwide. The awards recognize students who secured the highest examination results at national, regional, and—most notably—global levels in International GCSE and A Level qualifications.

The event, co-hosted by British Ambassador Mark Bryson-Richardson MBE and Kathryn Booth, Director of Pearson School Qualifications MENA, underscored the growing stature of Egypt as a hub for academic excellence. Ambassador Bryson-Richardson noted that these accolades reflect the strength of the UK-Egypt educational partnership, highlighting the commitment to empowering a generation capable of competing on the global stage. As the Egyptian private K-12 sector continues its rapid expansion, the OPLAs serve as a benchmark for the high standards maintained by Pearson-approved schools in fostering world-class talent.
