Samawi Platform and King Saud University Press Sign Strategic Pact to Digitalize Academic Publishing

In a significant move to modernize the distribution of scientific knowledge, Samawi Platform has entered into a strategic partnership with King Saud University (KSU) Press. The agreement, signed on Monday morning, aims to leverage advanced digital solutions to market and distribute KSU’s extensive academic catalog both locally and internationally. Representing Samawi was Eng. Khalid Bamahamad, Founder and CEO of Icons Group, while Dr. Mufleh bin Ali Al-Shugithiri, Executive Director of KSU Press, represented the university.

The collaboration focuses on expanding the reach of Saudi academic content through Samawi’s digital application and platform, offering publications in print, digital, and audio formats. Beyond distribution, the pact includes developing pre- and post-publishing services, organizing specialized training workshops, and integrating KSU’s publications into Samawi’s extensive global distribution network. Eng. Bamahamad noted that this partnership is a cornerstone in Samawi’s mission to empower academic institutions through digital transformation, ensuring that Saudi-produced knowledge is accessible to the global research community.
