Egyptian Exchange (EGX) Announces Trading Holiday for Easter and Sham El-Nessim 2026

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) officially announced today that trading operations will be suspended on Sunday, April 12, in observance of Easter. Furthermore, the exchange confirmed that Monday, April 13, will also be an official holiday celebrating Sham El-Nessim.

In an official statement, the EGX management clarified that regular trading sessions will resume on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. This closure follows the standard regulatory protocols in coordination with the Central Bank of Egypt, ensuring that clearing and settlement systems remain synchronized across the nation's financial landscape during the festive period.
