Egypt’s ”Taheel” and GIZ Conclude Intensive Digital Upskilling Program for Persons with Disabilities in Giza

The National Network for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities (Taheel), in collaboration with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and iCareer, has successfully concluded the second edition of the "Employment Readiness" program. Held at the Creativa Innovation Hub in Giza from April 4-7, the four-day intensive training aimed to bridge the digital divide for 20 participants with disabilities. By focusing on professional planning and modern digital tools like Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, the program aligns with Egypt's national strategy for comprehensive digital inclusion and economic empowerment.

This edition focused on transforming training outcomes into real-world job placements. The curriculum integrated labor law education with practical workshops on professional career mapping using the SMART model and remote work essentials. This initiative, supported by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), highlights a unified national effort to streamline access to rehabilitation and employment services through the "Taheel" digital platform, ensuring that no segment of society is left behind in the digital age.
