EDEX wins a project to develop a new dry port in the city of 10th of Ramadan in cooperation with MEDLOG

EDEX, one of the region's leading engineering and contracting companies, announced the signing of an agreement with MEDLOG, a leading global logistics company and a subsidiary of the MSC Group, to develop the dry port project in 10th of Ramadan City. This project represents a significant addition to Egypt's logistics infrastructure.

The project, spanning approximately 189,000 square meters, will be implemented using a Design & Build (EDB) model, encompassing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work.

The scope of work includes site preparation, paving, road construction, and the development of essential utilities, along with the necessary infrastructure for port operation. Upon completion, the project is expected to modernize the regional logistics network, enhance operational efficiency, and support sustainable economic growth.

The 10th of Ramadan Dry Port is a crucial step towards strengthening the efficiency and sustainability of Egypt's transport and logistics sector, aligning with the Ministry of Transport's strategy to establish an integrated network of dry ports and logistics zones nationwide. This project also marks MEDLOG's first investment in the Egyptian market, reflecting the confidence of global entities in the growth opportunities offered by Egypt's logistics sector.

Furthermore, the project relies on digital solutions, intelligent transportation systems, and advanced technologies to ensure smooth trade flow, reduce operational costs and risks, and minimize environmental impact.

The project embodies the integration of global logistics expertise with local implementation capabilities, achieving the highest standards of quality and efficiency. It also reflects EDEX's commitment to implementing advanced infrastructure projects that enhance the country's future readiness and contribute to strengthening Egypt's position as a regional hub for trade and logistics.

Engineer Hussein El-Desouky, Chairman and CEO of EDEX, emphasized the importance of this partnership, which reflects a shared vision for developing world-class infrastructure that supports economic growth in Egypt. He added that, in cooperation with MEDLOG, the company will work to implement the project, making it a cornerstone for the future of the trade and logistics sector in the region.

This collaboration underscores the complementary expertise of EDEX and MEDLOG in implementing modern, efficient, and sustainable logistics projects, thus reinforcing Egypt's position as a strategic hub for regional and international trade.
