Noatum Ports Welcomes Giant ZPMC Cranes to Safaga, Marking a New Era for Upper Egypt’s Maritime Trade

Noatum Ports, the international port operations arm of AD Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS), has announced a major milestone with the arrival of three Ship-to-Shore (STS) cranes and six Rubber-Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes at its new multi-purpose terminal in Safaga, Egypt. The delivery of these "Super Post-Panamax" cranes, manufactured by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC), signals the final countdown toward the terminal’s highly anticipated opening later this year.

Strategically located on the Red Sea coast, the Noatum Ports – Safaga Terminal is set to become the first international maritime gateway for the Upper Egypt region. Designed to handle containers, dry bulk, liquid bulk, and Ro-Ro cargo, the terminal will serve as a vital link between Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa. By offering deep-draft capabilities for mega-vessels and high operational productivity, the project is poised to revolutionize regional supply chains and support the industrial development of Egypt’s southern governorates.
