Visa, the world leader in digital payments, has launched a suite of six advanced tools designed to overhaul the global dispute management process. This strategic expansion aims to mitigate billions of dollars in annual losses caused by inefficient, legacy systems. By streamlining dispute resolution, Visa enables merchants and financial institutions to slash administrative overhead, curb fraud-related losses, and redirect vital resources toward innovation and customer experience.

The urgency for such tools is underscored by recent data: in 2025, Visa processed 106 million disputes globally, a 35% surge compared to 2019 levels. According to Sam Abadir, Research Director at IDC Financial Insights, dispute management has evolved from a back-office function to a strategic priority. Abadir noted that institutions relying on fragmented manual processes risk losing recoverable revenue, emphasizing that modernizing these operations is critical for maintaining competitiveness in a high-volume transaction environment.
