Egypt’s Engineering Exports Hit Historic High in February 2026, Surging 37.6% to $709M

Egypt’s engineering sector has achieved its highest monthly export value in history, reaching $709.7 million in February 2026. According to the Engineering Export Council of Egypt (EEC), this represents a massive 37.6% increase compared to the $515.8 million recorded in February 2025. Cumulatively, the sector grew by 15.1% in the first two months of 2026, totaling $1.187 billion.

Eng. Sherif El-Sayad, Chairman of the EEC, attributed this unprecedented jump to the rising global competitiveness of Egyptian products. The growth was led by a staggering 77% surge in metal sectors, followed by a 43% increase in auto parts, and a 20.8% rise in electrical and electronic industries. Despite regional and global challenges, Egyptian engineering products continue to penetrate diverse markets across Europe (including Germany, Italy, and France), Asia, and Africa, marking a significant milestone in the nation's industrial export strategy.
