Housing & Development Bank Renews Confidence in Hassan Ghanem as CEO for 2026–2029 Term
The General Assembly of Housing & Development Bank has renewed its confidence in Hassan Ghanem, reappointing him as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director for a new term spanning 2026 to 2029.
Over the past few years, the bank has undergone a significant transformation in its financial and operational performance indicators, driven by a clear strategic vision and disciplined execution. This approach has focused on maximizing profitability, expanding the business base, and enhancing operational efficiency.
The General Assembly also approved the formation of the bank’s Board of Directors for the 2026–2029 term, following the endorsement of the Central Bank of Egypt. The new board comprises a distinguished group of experienced leaders, including Basel El-Hini as Non-Executive Chairman and Hassan Ghanem as CEO and Managing Director.
The board also includes Randa El-Menshawy, Hany Sweilam, Alaa Farouk, and Sherif El-Sherbiny as non-executive members representing the New Urban Communities Authority; Mostafa El-Kammash representing Misr Life Insurance; Mohamed Nabil Sarhan representing Misr Insurance; Mohamed El-Maazawy representing Rolaco EGB Investment; Sherif El-Akhdar representing Remco EGT Investment; Mahmoud El-Nagdy representing the Egyptian Endowments Authority; Ahmed Abu Hendia representing minority shareholders; and Ghada Yousry as an independent non-executive member.
In this context, the Board of Directors reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the executive management team to ensure the continued implementation of the bank’s ambitious strategy for the 2025–2030 period, aiming to achieve sustainable growth, foster innovation, and strengthen the bank’s position as a leading financial institution in the Egyptian banking sector.
