Vodafone Egypt Partners with Taptap Send to Enable Instant International Money Transfers to Vodafone Cash from 30+ Countries
Vodafone Egypt announced a strategic partnership with Taptap Send, allowing Egyptians abroad to send money instantly and directly to Vodafone Cash wallets in Egypt from more than 30 countries.
The partnership enhances Vodafone Egypt’s digital payment ecosystem, strengthening Vodafone Cash as a trusted digital wallet for receiving international remittances, particularly from the UK, EU countries, the US, UAE, Canada, and Australia.
This collaboration enables faster, direct transfers without relying on traditional banking channels. Joint commercial and awareness efforts aim to boost adoption and position Vodafone Cash as a preferred digital channel for sending and receiving remittances.
The move comes amid record growth in remittances to Egypt, which reached $41.5 billion in 2025, up 40.5% from $29.6 billion in 2024. Transfers in the first half of FY 2025/2026 increased 29.6% to $22.1 billion, according to the Central Bank of Egypt.
