Banque du Caire’s “Goodwill Convoy” Reaches 124,000 Beneficiaries Across Egypt, Expanding Support in Upper Egypt
Banque du Caire has launched the 14th edition of its annual “Goodwill Convoy” initiative, aiming to support more than 124,000 beneficiaries across Egypt, with a strong focus on Upper Egypt.
As part of its corporate social responsibility strategy, the initiative provides essential food supplies to low-income families, helping ease financial burdens during the holy month of Ramadan. A significant share of the aid is directed toward Upper Egypt, where rural communities face higher levels of need, ensuring a tangible impact in the most underserved areas.
Haidi El-Nahas, Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainable Development at Banque du Caire, said:
“The 2026 edition of the Goodwill Convoy reflects a significant expansion in our outreach, with the number of beneficiaries rising to 124,000 compared to around 46,000 in 2025—an increase of more than 170%. This growth underscores the bank’s commitment to scaling up its social contributions and reaching a broader segment of vulnerable families, particularly in remote and underserved areas in Upper Egypt.”
She added that the initiative is implemented in collaboration with key strategic partners, including Tahya Misr Fund and Sonaa El Kheir Foundation, both of which bring extensive field experience and wide geographic coverage. This partnership enhances the accuracy of beneficiary targeting and ensures support reaches hard-to-access communities.
El-Nahas also highlighted the active participation of Banque du Caire employees in packing Ramadan food boxes, reflecting a strong culture of volunteerism and teamwork within the bank, especially during the holy month when values of solidarity and giving are most evident.
Banque du Caire continues to strengthen its role in supporting vulnerable communities, emphasizing that its mission extends beyond banking services to include meaningful contributions to social solidarity and improving living conditions across Egypt.
