Banque Misr Marks International Women’s Day with Free Banking Offers to Promote Financial Inclusion

Banque Misr announced its participation in International Women’s Day through a wide range of free benefits and promotional offers, in support of financial inclusion efforts under the patronage of the Central Bank of Egypt.

Aligned with Egypt Vision 2030 and the country’s sustainable development goals, the bank reaffirmed its commitment to expanding access to financial services for all segments of society. The initiative aims to empower individuals by facilitating access to a broad portfolio of financial products, including savings and current accounts, payment and transfer services, insurance, financing, and credit solutions.

Running from March 8 to March 31, 2026, the campaign provides a variety of free services tailored to customers—particularly women and youth, who represent a significant share of the population. These include free opening of current and savings accounts for individuals, with exemptions from account opening fees, minimum balance requirements, and stamp duties. The offer applies to multiple account types in Egyptian pounds, including conventional and Islamic accounts, youth accounts, “Al Mongez” accounts, “Momken” savings accounts, and “Hawalty” current accounts in both EGP and USD.

Customers will also benefit from free issuance of Meeza debit cards linked to accounts, as well as prepaid Meeza cards without issuance fees. Youth aged 15 to 21 can open accounts free of charge and receive a BM debit card at no cost under the bank’s youth program.

In addition, users of the BM Wallet will receive 20% cashback on their first transaction, available once during the campaign period for activated wallets, subject to terms and conditions.

Banque Misr has been among the leading banks driving financial literacy and inclusion in Egypt since the launch of the initiative in 2014. The bank continues to actively participate in campaigns led by the Central Bank of Egypt, while also supporting women, entrepreneurs, and micro-enterprises through diversified financial services—contributing to economic growth and improving living standards.
