Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Wins “Best in Show” at MWC 2026 GLOMO Awards
Samsung Electronics announced that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has won the Best in Show award at the Global Mobile Awards during Mobile World Congress 2026 held in Barcelona, Spain.
Organized annually by the GSMA, the GLOMO Awards recognize outstanding innovations across the mobile industry. The Best in Show category honors consumer-focused products that set new benchmarks in technology. Considered one of the industry’s highest recognitions, the award is judged by a panel of more than 200 leading independent analysts, journalists, and industry experts.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra received the award for its seamless integration of advanced hardware and intuitive One UI 8.5 software, powered by Galaxy AI. The system delivers adaptive, context-aware intelligence designed to simplify everyday tasks while maintaining high standards of privacy and security.
The device also introduced the world’s first built-in Privacy Display, representing a major advancement in display engineering. The technology allows users to enjoy a vibrant viewing experience while protecting on-screen content from unwanted viewing in public spaces.
Additionally, the smartphone is powered by a customized chipset optimized for Galaxy AI, enabling faster processing and delivering a smoother and more efficient mobile experience.
According to Shaun Collins, Chair of the Best in Show judging panel at MWC 2026, the competition this year was exceptionally strong. He noted that the Galaxy S26 Ultra stood out for pushing the boundaries of mobile innovation while delivering meaningful real-world impact, particularly through its privacy-focused display technology.
Among more than 3,000 exhibitors at the event, the judging panel highlighted the device for bringing future-ready innovations that consumers can experience today.
Meanwhile, Stephanie Choi, EVP and Head of Mobile Marketing at Samsung’s Mobile eXperience Business, said the company is honored to receive the award, noting that the Galaxy S26 Ultra reflects Samsung’s continued commitment to advancing AI-powered mobile technology.
