Huawei Cloud Launches HCF Globally, Advancing Open and Resilient Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure

During Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2026, Huawei Cloud unveiled its latest hybrid cloud innovation, Huawei Cloud Foundation (HCF), at the Huawei Cloud Summit held under the theme “Huawei Cloud: Solving Industry Challenges with AI.”

The new platform was officially introduced to a global audience by Antonony Gu, President of Huawei Hybrid Cloud, marking a significant milestone in the company’s strategy to deliver a more open, simplified, and resilient hybrid cloud experience for enterprises worldwide.

Addressing the Complexity of the AI Era

As digital and intelligent transformation accelerates across industries, enterprises are increasingly adopting hybrid cloud architectures to modernize their IT infrastructure. Hybrid cloud environments allow organizations to maintain core assets on-premises to meet strict security and compliance requirements, while leveraging the scalability and innovation capabilities of public cloud services.

However, the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence is fundamentally reshaping computing paradigms. Enterprises are now navigating a more complex migration landscape, challenged by rising cloud costs, fast-paced technological change, and mounting operational complexity.

Speaking at the summit, Antonony Gu emphasized the strategic role of HCF in addressing these pressures.

“HCF balances security and compliance with operational agility,” he said. “It enables enterprises to manage increasingly complex IT environments and embrace the new AI era. It serves as a key pathway toward comprehensive digital and intelligent transformation. HCF is purpose-built to help customers build open, simplified, and resilient hybrid cloud platforms, overcome critical challenges in their cloud journey, and accelerate intelligent transformation.”

Three Core Innovations

Huawei Cloud Foundation introduces three major innovations designed to support enterprises throughout their hybrid cloud evolution.

Open by Design

HCF features an architecture-level decoupling design that supports unified certification frameworks and standardized integration specifications. This ensures compatibility with mainstream compute, storage, and networking vendors, enabling organizations to maximize hardware reuse and protect existing investments.

The platform also provides open APIs and standardized integration frameworks compatible with leading software ecosystems, including AI and open-source models, empowering enterprises to accelerate AI application innovation and deployment.

Relentless Simplicity

Through one-stop deployment tools, HCF can be rapidly installed and made operational. Automated migration services reduce the complexity traditionally associated with cloud transitions, enabling enterprises to move workloads with greater confidence.

A unified cloud management platform enhances resource visibility and control, allowing refined management of distributed resources and significantly improving operational efficiency.

Ultimate Resilience

HCF incorporates comprehensive disaster recovery capabilities across multiple scenarios, ensuring data protection and business continuity. Automated security mechanisms streamline configuration processes and enable rapid remediation of vulnerabilities.

Additionally, the platform supports ultra-high bandwidth and ultra-low latency within a single cluster, enabling efficient load balancing and high-performance operations critical for AI-driven workloads.

Expanding Global Footprint

Huawei Hybrid Cloud currently serves more than 5,500 customers across over 160 countries and regions, spanning key sectors including government, telecommunications, and finance.

Looking ahead, Huawei Hybrid Cloud will continue to advance its “Hybrid Cloud + AI” strategy, deepening open partnerships and driving sustained innovation. By leveraging AI technologies to help enterprises overcome operational and technical challenges, Huawei aims to strengthen digital resilience, power the digital economy, and accelerate the global transition toward a fully intelligent and data-driven future.
