Tabadulat and Minted Connect Sign Strategic Partnership to Expand Shariah-Compliant Gold-Backed Investments

Tabadulat Limited, a Shariah-compliant brokerage and investment platform regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), and Minted Connect FZCO, a Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC)-licensed company specializing in precious metals infrastructure and digital assets, have announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at providing institutional access to gold-backed, Shariah-compliant investment instruments.

Under this partnership, Minted Connect will leverage Tabadulat’s infrastructure to access physically backed gold Exchange-Traded Commodities (ETCs). This collaboration enables Minted Connect to diversify its institutional treasury through Shariah-compliant gold instruments, while relying on Tabadulat’s licensed frameworks for execution, asset custody, and regulatory compliance.

The agreement comes at a time of rising global demand for gold, which recorded an approximate 64% price increase in 2025—the highest annual growth since 1979—reinforcing its role as a safe-haven asset and an effective portfolio diversification tool, particularly within Islamic investment frameworks.

This partnership combines Minted Connect’s global presence in precious metals and digital finance—serving more than three million users through licensed entities in the United Kingdom and Turkey—with Tabadulat’s FSRA-regulated platform, which provides institutions with secure access to global capital markets in accordance with Shariah principles.

Key Pillars of the Collaboration include enabling Shariah-compliant gold investments through regulated access to physically backed gold ETCs; providing brokerage execution and segregated custody services in full compliance with ADGM regulatory requirements; ensuring full regulatory and Shariah alignment through comprehensive Shariah screening, KYC, and AML procedures; and achieving technical and operational integration via APIs to support efficient trading and settlement.

Commenting on the partnership, Sami Mohammed, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Tabadulat, stated that gold has long been a cornerstone of Islamic finance, and that this collaboration expands regulated institutional access to Shariah-compliant gold instruments while advancing the firm’s vision of building a global halal investment infrastructure.

Engin Butun, Co-Founder and CEO of Minted Connect, added that the partnership represents a strategic alliance beyond a standard service agreement, reflecting a shared commitment to delivering value-driven, ethically grounded financial products and strengthening the ecosystem of Shariah-compliant investment solutions.
