In a scene that reflects the depth of the established institutional traditions within the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Rafat Hindi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, received Dr. Amr Talaat, the former Minister of Communications and Information Technology. During the meeting, they discussed the most prominent files undertaken by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, foremost of which is the completion of the implementation of the axes and projects of Egypt's digital strategy and continuing to achieve high growth rates of the sector and attracting more investments.
During the meeting with the leaders and employees of the Ministry, Eng. Rafat Hindi expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Amr Talaat for his sincere efforts and continuous giving throughout his tenure of responsibility for the Ministry, which lasted for nearly seven and a half years, during which the sector witnessed a qualitative development at various levels.
He stressed that the next phase will witness the completion of the ongoing files and projects, and building on the achievements achieved, in order to consolidate the status of the ICT sector as a major driver of economic growth and one of the main pillars of comprehensive development efforts, while maintaining the advanced growth rates achieved by the sector during the past years.
He pointed out that the team spirit and institutional work that characterize the sector represent the real guarantee to complete the files efficiently and sustainably, continue to implement digital transformation plans and enhance Egypt's competitiveness regionally and internationally in the fields of communications and information technology.
Engineer Rafat Hindi concluded his speech by stressing that the Ministry, with all its institutions, leaders and employees, will continue to work in one spirit to complete the files and achieve more successes, expressing his appreciation to Dr. Amr Talaat for his efforts that contributed to establishing strong pillars of the development process.
For his part, Dr. Amr Talaat expressed his confidence in the ability of Engineer Rafat Hindi to continue implementing the strategies and initiatives launched during the past years, stressing that the achievements were the result of collective work based on trust, respect and the spirit of cooperation between all elements of the system.
He added that he leaves the position of responsibility feeling proud and proud of what has been achieved, reassuring that the next stage will witness more work and effort to continue progress under a leadership capable of construction and development, wishing continued success to the Ministry and the ICT sector in the service of the country.
