Eng. Rafat Hindi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Confirms the completion of the expansion of digital services to build an integrated digital society
Following his oath before His Excellency President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, President of the Republic, Eng. Rafat Hindi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, stressed that expanding the availability of digital services and improving their quality to facilitate citizens' access to them is the top priority of the ministry's work during the next phase, in addition to consolidating the role of the sector in supporting the transition towards an integrated digital economy.
He explained that the ministry continues to complete the implementation of projects to develop digital infrastructure at the level of the Republic to raise the efficiency of telecommunications and Internet services, as a key pillar for building a digital society and supporting economic growth, while continuing to implement the projects of the presidential initiative "Decent Life" to enable citizens in the villages to access digital services.
He added that the ministry will continue to implement and accelerate digital transformation projects and the development of the information structure in coordination with various state institutions to raise the efficiency of government work through the adoption of advanced technologies, the development of digital skills and supporting entrepreneurship in order to achieve the desired goals of the state's priorities in building the Egyptian human being.
Engineer Rafat Hindi pointed out that increasing digital exports and enhancing the attractive business environment for investment are a key axis in the ministry's strategy, which supports the expansion of outsourcing centers, opens horizons for the development of the electronics industry and attracting more investments for local manufacturing, and supporting the efforts exerted by the government to transform from the traditional economy to the digital economy.
