Snap Signs MoUs with Qatar Government to Boost Content Creation and Digital Media Ecosystem
Doha, Qatar – Snap Inc. has signed two memoranda of understanding with the Government Communications Office (GCO) of Qatar on the sidelines of Web Summit Qatar 2026, underscoring their joint commitment to enhancing the content creation, media, and digital communications ecosystem in the country.
The agreements establish a long-term partnership to develop the content industry, advance digital storytelling tools, and nurture creative talent, reinforcing Doha’s position as a regional and global hub for the content economy, advertising, and advanced media industries.
The first MoU outlines a collaboration to host the Snap Content Creators Summit in Doha for three consecutive years starting in 2026, building on the success of the 2025 inaugural summit in the Middle East, which attracted top content creators from across the region and the world. The initiative aims to support the growth of Snap’s creator community, expand its reach, and boost engagement regionally and internationally.
The partnership also includes the development and implementation of programs in Qatar to support content creators, enhance digital content quality, and foster innovation in cultural and digital storytelling, further strengthening Doha’s prominence on both regional and global stages.
