Suez Canal Bank’s Administrative and Engineering Sector Earns ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Certification

During an official ceremony held at the headquarters of Suez Canal Bank, Akef El Maghraby, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, received the ISO 9001:2015 International Quality Management System certification for the Bank’s Administrative and Engineering Sector. The certification was issued by the Greek global certification body EUROCERT, in accordance with internationally recognized standards and specifications.

The certificate was presented by H.E. Nikolaos Papageorgiou, Ambassador of Greece and Economic and Commercial Attaché in Egypt, alongside Eng. Osman Mohamed Osman, Founder and Owner of NES, and Ms. Amina Osman, Chairwoman of NES. NES serves as the exclusive agent and official representative of EUROCERT in Egypt, in line with approved European quality management standards.

The ceremony was attended by Eng. Hany Fawzy, Head of the Administrative and Engineering Sector at Suez Canal Bank, Amina Osman, Vice Chairwoman of NES, as well as a number of senior bank executives.

The certification followed a comprehensive audit and review conducted by the certifying authority, covering all policies and operational procedures within the sector to ensure full compliance with international quality management requirements.

The awarding of ISO 9001:2015 by EUROCERT—one of the world’s leading organizations in testing, inspection, and certification, and accredited by Egypt’s National Accreditation Council (EGAC)—reflects the Bank’s commitment to adopting global best practices in management systems.

Commenting on the achievement, Akef El Maghraby stated that obtaining the ISO 9001:2015 certification represents international recognition of the Bank’s commitment to applying the highest quality management standards. He added that this milestone reflects the Bank’s continuous efforts to develop systems and procedures, enhance operational efficiency, and optimize resource utilization.

For his part, H.E. Nikolaos Papageorgiou praised Suez Canal Bank for achieving the certification, noting that implementing quality management systems enhances institutional efficiency and competitiveness, while supporting a stronger business environment and sustainable development.

Meanwhile, Eng. Hany Fawzy emphasized the sector’s commitment to continuously upgrading internal processes, modernizing operational systems, and applying international quality standards in line with the Bank’s strategy and national development priorities, aiming to achieve the highest levels of performance and quality.

In the same context, Eng. Osman Mohamed Osman, Chairman of NES, stated that the Bank’s certification followed rigorous and comprehensive audits of operational policies and procedures in accordance with the highest international quality standards, underscoring the Bank’s dedication to effective and sustainable operational methodologies.
