Cairo University Opens Registration for the Second Edition of Its Entrepreneurship Summit

Cairo University, under the leadership of Professor Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, has announced the opening of registration for participation in the second edition of the Cairo University Entrepreneurship Summit, scheduled to take place on February 10 at the university’s main campus.

The summit is held within the framework of the acceptance of the “Entrepreneurial University” alliance under the presidential competitive initiative “Alliance and Development,” reflecting Egypt’s national direction toward supporting innovation and strengthening the role of universities as key drivers of sustainable economic development, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence and the digital economy.

Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President of Cairo University, emphasized that innovation and entrepreneurship are among the university’s top national priorities, noting that the summit represents a strategic platform for linking scientific research with economic realities and empowering young people to transform their ideas into impactful ventures.

He added that Cairo University believes entrepreneurship has become one of the most important development pathways in Egypt’s “New Republic,” and that the summit aims to create a stimulating innovation environment within the university while supporting students and graduates to become leaders in the digital economy and advanced technology sectors, in line with Egypt’s vision for a knowledge-based future.

For her part, Dr. Ghada Abdel Bari, Advisor to the University President for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, explained that the summit brings together policymakers, entrepreneurs, investors, and startups in an integrated experience designed to enhance growth opportunities and build effective partnerships between academia and the business sector.

She noted that this year’s edition comes with a renewed spirit and a rich agenda of panel discussions, alongside a dedicated exhibition for startups and scale-ups, with the primary goal of empowering youth and connecting innovative ideas with investment opportunities to build a competitive, entrepreneurial university community at both regional and international levels.

The second edition of the summit will also witness the participation of national leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and startup representatives through a comprehensive program featuring specialized sessions, discussions on the future of entrepreneurship, and an exhibition showcasing emerging and growing startups, further strengthening integration between universities and the business sector.
