NTRA Participates in Specialized Cybersecurity Training Program Under WE Innovate Academy

The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA), represented by its Cybersecurity Industry Development Sector, participated in a specialized training program organized as part of the activities of WE Innovate Academy, in collaboration with Telecom Egypt. The initiative aligns with the pillars of Egypt’s National Cybersecurity Strategy (2023–2027).

This participation comes within the framework of national efforts to build technical capacities and strengthen Egypt’s cybersecurity ecosystem. The NTRA team delivered a series of specialized workshops focused on entrepreneurship in cybersecurity, aiming to enable trainees to transform technical skills and knowledge into viable startup ideas, thereby supporting the growth of cybersecurity startups and reinforcing the national cybersecurity industry.

The program included six specialized training lectures delivered over the course of one week by Dr. Hazem El-Tabaa, Senior Expert at the Cybersecurity Industry Development Sector, and Eng. Ahmed Abdallah Mashaly, Director General of Cybersecurity Startup Development at NTRA.

The training was hosted at the Creativa Innovation Center at the Information Technology Institute (ITI), in cooperation with Telecom Egypt and implemented by ZeroSploit. The program targeted WE Innovate Academy students, benefiting a total of 131 trainees across multiple tracks, including penetration testing, Security Operations Centers (SOC), Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), and Information Security Engineering, alongside complementary training in soft skills.
