Universal Health Insurance Authority Launches Integrated Digital Platform for Revenue Management
The General Authority for Universal Health Insurance (GAUHI), in cooperation with eHealth, the leading provider of specialized digital solutions for operating and managing health insurance services, announced the launch of an integrated digital platform for consolidating and analyzing the Authority’s revenues. The initiative represents a strategic step aimed at strengthening digital transformation efforts and enhancing governance over the revenue cycle across all funding sources, in accordance with the provisions of the Universal Health Insurance System Law.
The project comes as part of GAUHI’s pivotal role in ensuring sustainable financing and improving the efficiency of financial resource management, thereby supporting the gradual expansion of the system and achieving universal health coverage across all governorates of Egypt.
The platform will enable the Authority to accurately review and reconcile legally due revenues, contributing to revenue maximization and improved collection efficiency. It will also provide in-depth financial analytics to support informed decision-making and strengthen sustainable financial planning capabilities.
Commenting on the launch, Mai Farid, Executive Director of the General Authority for Universal Health Insurance, stated that the platform represents a major step toward enhancing financial governance within the Authority. She emphasized that adopting advanced digital solutions will improve revenue management efficiency and ensure the highest levels of transparency, safeguarding the sustainability of funding for the universal health insurance system and the continued delivery of high-quality healthcare services to citizens.
